Moving Orem in the Right Direction

How it started and why David is Still Fighting for Orem

David Spencer first decided to run for Orem City Council when city leaders seriously considered paving over the baseball fields at City Center Park to make room for a parking structure. As a longtime coach and board member for Orem Youth Baseball, David knew how important those fields were to local families. He called the idea what it was—horrendous—and stepped up to bring some much-needed common sense to city leadership.

Since then, David has taken pride in being a problem-solver with an open door. Whether it's helping a resident with a zoning issue or standing up for a neighborhood, David is known for listening, acting, and making things happen.

During his time on the Council, David has:

  • Worked to keep taxes low and city budgets transparent

  • Advocated for traffic improvements and infrastructure upgrades

  • Championed Orem’s police, fire, youth programs, parks, and the arts

As your councilman, David remains committed to protecting our neighborhoods, supporting families, and moving Orem in the Right Direction.
